Resumen

The pollen analysis of three located caves has been realized in the denominated «País de Altamira» (Cantabria) with the purpose of to collect palaeoecology data of the mentioned region during the upper Paleolithic. The investigation contributes the first pollinic results of archaeological sequences in the zone and means an advance in the understanding of the dynamics of the vegetation and environment. They have been possible to detect certain climatic fluctuations as well as the importance that had the formation of hazels and alders in the zone.
