Resumen

After knee arthroplasty a new axial balance in the horizontal plane takes place whose calibration is difficult as much before, as during the surgery and after the same one, and whose consequences are of great importance to the joint future. This study takes as rotational reference from the extremity, the march angle, which constitutes the global sum of the rotation angles of the bony elements and joints of the member, analyzing its evolution during the first year after the surgery. It could be observed that this angle did not vary after the surgery. It could be observed that this angle did not vary after taining the value of the gonarthrosis and within the rank of normality, demonstrates the reliability of the present surgical technique in the location of the implants for the axial balance, not only in the coronal plane, but also in the horizontal plane, where the anatomical references and the habitual clinical and radiological measures are less accurate.
