Abstract
This paper present a methodological proposal to do a GIS-based comparative analysis of the quality of life within Alcalá de Henares (Madrid). The analytical possibilities offered by these systems are used to study differences in this regard within the city. It began with selection of a set of spatial quality indicators for the various “sectores urbanos” which divides the city, and its implementation using GIS, in order to obtain a synthesis to allow for the comparison of quality of life between different parts of this territory.
