Abstract
Throughout history the landscape has been modified by multiple causes, both natural and artificial. The latter have been produced as a form of adaptation due to a need or urge, transforming the environment. Wars are situated in this context. The military architecture has left traces that in many areas constitute resources for local development and allow a recovery of the historical memory of the people, showing not only the way of building, but the way of living. One of these cases is the Russia Concentration Camp, in Belchite, of which remains are still preserved.
