Abstract

Companies nowadays are considering mental health as an increasingly important issue for their employees, since it has been shown that this has an impact on their productivity and, therefore, on the economic performance that is generated in the workplace. The informa-tion related to occupational health is reflected in the non-financial information statement (NFIS), a document presented by listed companies together with their annual financial statements. Therefore, the aim of this study is two-fold, based on the analysis of these documents of the companies of the IBEX-35, the reference stock market index in Spain. On the one hand, the type of information provided by the NFISs of IBEX-35 companies on mental health will be analysed and, on the other hand, how the inclusion of information on mental health matters at a terminological level financial translators who work with this type of text. With this a preliminary view of the information on mental health that appears in these reports will be provided and a reflection on what it currently means for the work of financial translators.
