Abstract

Today, most authors believe that the parotid Iymphoepithelial cyst in HlV-patients is a manifestation of thepersistentgeneralized Iymphadenopathy syndrome. The incidence of the parotid Iymphoepithelial cyst has been rising steadily over the last years, as the HIV infection. In this paper we review ethiopathogenic, diagnostic and treatment aspects of this pathology. 9 cases have been seen in the last 3 years, 8 of whom were HIV-patients. 5 patients received surgical treatment; superficial parotidectomy was performed in these cases without postoperative complications. There is no relapse until today.
