Abstract

Cooperative learning is a strategy that promotes inclusion of all students inside group-class. It is a teaching-learning resource in, for and of the diversity. However, teachers lack of appropriated training, both initial and continuous, for the implementation of cooperative learning on their educational practices. For this reason, some Schools of Childhood and Primary Education of Community of Madrid are developing a formative programme about this topic, design and coordinated by research of University of Alcalá. In order to evaluate this Programme from the perspective of the main participants, focus groups were used as data collection technique inside a broader context of research-action. The results show that involved people in this study perceive substantial improvements to class and school level due to the implementation of cooperative learning, although they also highlight a set of aspects to be improved and others to be maintained for programme development in later courses. In general, the satisfaction of participations was positive whit received training and benefits of this teaching-learning resource. To conclude, this teacher education Programme seems adequate for implementation of cooperative-learning at schools, although it requires certain specific improvements.
