This research aims to understand the impact of the ProInfo program on the training of teachers in the State of Maranhão to work with ICT in public schools. The objectives will be to know the implications that the ProInfo training supposes in the perception of the teaching staff; To identify changes in teachers' teaching practices from the perspective of teachers and coordinators; Establish some considerations for the improvement in the use of ICT in the classroom from the training of teachers. We want to understand how the training program has repercussions on pedagogical practice, and how it responds to the challenges that the knowledge society poses to education. In the theoretical analysis studied, we discuss the use of technological tools in the world of knowledge and society and everything that has implications in education, from the training of teachers. For the development of the research, the qualitative case study methodology has been used. This allows us to understand how the reality lived by teachers in their school context. Persistent observations of teachers' action in schools have been carried out, along with this research procedure, two instruments have been applied: questionnaires and interviews, either individually or through a focus group, as well as the analysis Documentary, all with the purpose of knowing the various actors and their practices as such. As for the data, they were collected from the results knowing that they had meant for the teaching-learning process with the use of ICT in Brazilian public schools. The results indicate that this type of training has meant an important change, more in the way that in the background, and that there is still much to do so that ICTs are actually incorporated into the educational practices of teachers of basic Brazilian education. As the impact of this program in particular has been lower than originally planned
