Resumen
Trying to study the cohesion between gender violence and women incarceration is ironic as well as discouraging when it’s found that research on the female profile in prison is a reality often made invisible in the scientific literature. On the other hand, the study of the male population has been approached from psychosocial and clinical boardings. There is a clear deficiency in female criminological studies, which leads to ignorance of the delinquent and social profile. In the present work, there will be made a review of the scientific literature in order to make the situation and factors associated with this profile of women visible.
