Abstract
The issue of this paper is to fínd what Polybius wrote about the Geography and the Ethnography of Spain in the 34th book of his Historiae. So, a Polybean origin is seen in some known Appian's passages on the Lusitanian and Celtiberian wars and the people of the Bracari, and in those of Strabo about the singular Geography and Ufe style of the Northwestern Spanish peoples. Such an identification is based not only in some exclusive place names and in the very order of the events narrated, but also in the likehood with the singular ethnographic ideas Polybius showed in his Historiae (6.5.4 - 6.7.5).
