Resumen
This article demonstrates that Chiapas affaires are not: a) the cause of all the evils in Mexico; b) an anachronistic problem inherited from the past (lack of half-breeding); c) an indian movement; d) a revolt against modernity; or e) an agitation that tries to imitate the 1910 revolution; but that represent a dramatic example of the complexity of their internal tensions, a present affaire that shows us the contradictions of the development model, the political system and the State-Nation.
