Zusammenfassung
Entrepreneurs and businesses are two viewpoints of the same business activity. Traditional analysis has tended to dissociate both perspectives. This work on the Spanish business situation adopts an eclectic approach through the use of methodologies complementary to social analysis (survey of 507 entrepreneurs) and financialeconomic analysis (management and performance indicators from 22.912 businesses), attempting to contribute to the integrated knowledge of the entrepreneur and the business. The results allow characterizing the entrepreneur and examining the features of business behaviour, discriminating according to business sizes, and stages of early development and consolidated activity.
