Résumé

Malignant fibrous histiocytoma is recognized as the most common sofá-tissue sarcoma in adults, although its location in the pharynx is inusual. Only 6 cases of the pharynx have been reported in the scientific literature. We report the case of a patient with a large malignant fibrous histiocytoma in the oropharynx. The tumor was resected with generous margins and the defect was reconstructed with a radial fasciocutaneous flap. The epidemiology, clinical manifestations, incidence of metastases, histiopathology, prognostic factors and treatment of malignan fibrous histiocytoma are discussed in relation to this case.
