Resumo
Nowadays, the Sierra Norte de Guadalaja has a very significant tourist and recreational activities. The change of the agrarian function as the primary activity in the area, along with a diversification of the economic activity, has given rise to a new social frame. Tourism has gained an important part in this new frame. According to the 2001 census, more than ten thousand houses in the area are used just for holiday purposes, which build an essential base to expand this new function of the territory. Likewise, the possibility to access to the territorial tourist resources of large cultural and environmental value is larger for an increasing population.
