This way, the quality of employment is nowadays one of the most relevant variables of Labour Economics and Labour Policy. In Spain there are evidence that labour market have some problems related with the quality of its jobs (fixed-term contracts, productivity, labour injuries, e.g.). This paper analyses the quality of employment in Spain from a regional perspective, paying a special attention to the case of Region of Madrid. In order to do it, we build a quality employment index which includes different aspects (flexibility, inclusion and access to employment, working time, conciliation needed, social dialogue, no discrimination). Then, paper identifies more important factors explaining regional differences in quality levels and its evolution in Comunidad de Madrid. Article is carried out using dates from Spanish Labour Force Survey (EPA), Labour Conditions Survey and Labour Accidents Statistic.
