Abstract
The Italian training of Luis de Vargas under Perino del Vaga teaching has recently be en studied by renowned art historian researchers such as Nicole Dacos. The present article pretends to continue to trace the previously line, contributing new evidences of Francesco Salviati drawing and painting influence on the Sevillian artist. Also an attempt to approach his years of apprentice in Florence and Rome between 1544 and 1550 are offered. At the same time formal sources of Vargas masterpieces are studied: The Allegory of the Immaculate Conception from the Cathedral of Seville, completed in 1561 after his Italian visit.
