Resumen
After the commission of a crime, experts in visual inspections thoroughly investigates the scene of the crime and proceed to collect all objects, fingerprints or vestiges found at the scene of the crime or the victim's body. Once submitted to scientific laboratories and analyzed by forensic specialists, will become evidence and access the hearing of evidence via expert report, it might then adquire the value of State´s evidence. It is therefore essential to ensure the chain of custody. This paper provides a legal analysis of its procedural correctness to determine its validity and effectiveness in order to rebut the presumption of innocence.
