Abstract
Parasequences Jn the Upper Albian-Cenomanian of the Iberian Ranges are deepening and then shallowing upwards parasequences, in opposition to standard parasequences which shallow upwards. They were originated by cycles of relative rise and fall of the sea level and then Systems Tracts (LST, TST and HST) can be recognisedas in 3rd order sequences. Superimposition of Systems Tracts occur and usually a 3rd order HST is composed by parasequences including all lowstand, transgressive and highsland Systems Tracts. In basin analysis that superimposition originates that lowstand facies, such as slope breccias, can be originated during 3rd order highstands in relation to high frequency (4th and 5th order) relative sea level falls
