Abstract

Skeletal morbidity is very common in patients with cancer and includes cancer-treatment complications and metastases to bone. lts a common site of cancer recurrence for many types of neoplasms, especially those arising in the lung, breast and prostate. Biphophonates inhibit osteoclast activity and can prevent, reduce and delay cancer-related skeletal complications in patients with tumors.
