Zusammenfassung
On 9 th and 10th November 2011 the Second conference on Language and Communication was held at the Faculty of Arts at the University of Alcala (Spain). This time was centered on phraseology and paremiology, allowing us to honor the work of Julio Casares, �Introducción a la lexicografía moderna�. Published in 1950 as Annex LII in the Revista de Filología Moderna and prefaced by the great Swiss Romance philologist W. von Wartburg. The six chapters on locutions, proverbial phrases,sayings and idioms are an "unavoidable precedent of allsubsequent studies on phraseology conducted in our country" (see Martínez Montoro 2002: 77 in the "Foreword"). In order to reach the widest possible audience with the content of this Conference, Lingüística en la Red publishes as monographic annex to number X the texts of the lectures prepared by the respective rapporteurs.
