Résumé

The term acute coronary síndrome without persistent ST segment elevation (NSTE-ACS) refers to two clinical entities, the unestable angina and the non-ST-elevation myocardial infarction. Both are life threatening conditions we normally assist in emergency deparments. So, it's a priority to know how to manage correctly this pathology, not only for cardiologists. This text aims to offer a review of physiopathology, clinical presentation and diagnostic tools of this entity. It also would like to offer an update on therapeutic strategies, based on recommendations of the European Society of Cardiology about this issue.
