Abstract
In this article I present a new diachronic corpus on which a two-person team from the Universidad de Alcalá is currently working. The corpus is being selected in order to show the written use of Spanish in the 19th century of writers from several peninsular regions and various social and cultural backgrounds. The greatest bulk of the documents comes from town archives, as it is in them where the most usual and frequent written communications between administration and citizens are preserved. This online corpus, which will be named CODOXIX (Corpus diacrónico del siglo XIX), will lastly comprise about 2500�3000 documents.
