Résumé
This article is an update of the metrical analysis of Moreto’s plays first done by S.G. Morely in 1918. In addition, it is an analysis and rejection of Ruth Lee Kennedy ́s thesis that "El caballero" is not a comedy by Moreto. Kennedy ́s arguments do not seem sufficient in view of the traditional adscription of this piece to Moreto in numerous editions of his works
