Abstract

Analysis of a song of Spanish origin that possibly came to the Eastern Sephardic oral tradition in the nineteenth century. It is also documented in the Sephardic tradition of Gibraltar during the eighteenth century. Numerous variants in Spain, Rhodes and many Latin American countries are discussed
