Influencia del empredimiento sobre el crecimiento económico y la eficienciaimportancia de la calidad institucional y la innovación social desde una perspectiva internacional

Resumen

Este trabajo tiene un doble objetivo; el análisis de la influencia del emprendimiento sobre el crecimiento económico y los efectos de la calidad institucional, la innovación social, y el emprendimiento sobre la eficiencia en un panel completo/incompleto de 31/49 países en el período 2004-2014. La propuesta metodológica consiste en la utilización de funciones de producción estocásticas (Greene 2005). Las variables de output (PIB) e inputs (formación bruta de capital, gastos totales y fuerza laboral) han sido extraídas del Banco Mundial. El emprendimiento, referido al porcentaje de empresas creadas (TEA) se ha extraído del Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM). Los índices de corrupción, de gestión de nuevos negocios han sido extraídos del Economic Freedom. El índice de desarrollo humano (IDH) ha sido extraído del Human Development Reports. Los principales resultados sugieren; i) que el emprendimiento tiene una contribución positiva como input para explicar el crecimiento económico, ii) el emprendimiento, la ausencia de niveles de corrupción, la libertad de negocios (la disminución de trámites y costes en la apertura de nuevos negocios) y los mayores niveles de innovación social son factores explicativos positivos de la eficiencia técnica a nivel país
