Abstract
Analysis of the Hispanic ballad La guirnalda de rosas (The Garland of Roses), documented in a Spanish version in the 16th century, and in texts from the Oriental Sephardic Jews registered between the 18th and 20th centuries. Study of their most interesting (erotic) symbols and metaphors (the garland of flowers, the roses, the thorns and the blood). Comparison with some other traditions.
