Abstract

Sports have always been seen from the outside as a separate world whose members reached the elite thanks to an extraordinary specialization of their qualities in a sport to which they developed their lives. However, there are many examples of sportsmen and sportswomen who have changed to a different sport and have adapted themselves in such a way that their results have kept them on top. The extreme importance of certain qualities in different sports has allowed that change of scene that some sportsmen and sportswomen have experienced in some cases, preventing them from going into anonymity. One of the sports in which that difference has been seen more clearly is athletics, which praises through all the events and races those select sportsmen and sportswomen that develop an outstanding physical capacity. This capacity leads to success in most sports, enabling the chance to succeed in a wide range of sport activities.
