Abstract

From August 2016 to April 2017, the restoration of the Renaissance façade of the University of Alcalá, national monument since 1914, it was carried out. The objective of the intervention, apart from being able to recover the optimal conditions of conservation of the Monument considers of interest to develop within its commitment to the conservation of heritage. The intervention with a great complexity for the objectives as well as for the economic limitation, has been feasible to present it as an opportunity, and to work the whole operation under the prism of the management of the heritage, beyond the strictly own aspects of the technical intervention. The application of such conception from the design phase, has allowed obtaining the success in the performance presented in this document.
