Zusammenfassung

The use of Mindfulness-based interventions as part of the treatment of different somatic diseases has increased significantly in recent years. Thus, the number of available researches in this field has grown substantially. In this article, a review of the current status of empirical evidence about the effectiveness of Mindfulness-based interventions on the treatment of different somatic diseases(pain, neurological disorders, endocrine disorders, cardiovascular diseases or cancer, among others) is offered. The main conclusions show that the evidence available thus faris promising. However, the results of the studies are still inconclusive. Therefore, it is necessary to continue expanding research in this field with more rigorous studies, with the purpose of strengthening clinical evidence and reaching more consistent conclusions in the future.
