Abstract
Nowadays in the lnvestigation coexist three basic paradigms: Positivist, lnterpretive and Critica!. In each one of them have be en developed different investigation methodologies, with their corresponding proceeding which are characteristic and that they are connected with the way of approaching the investigation and with the type of knowledge that is wanted to reach. Thus, it has been configured an importan! and wide methodological procedures studding, derivatives from the Scientific Method (own of the Paradigm Positivist), of the Qualitative Methodology (characteristic of the lnterpretive Paradigm), and of the Critica! Method (specific of the Critica! Paradigm). The investigations in the field of the physical therapy can be approached from the three mentioned paradigms and, by so much, to use anyone of the methods and all uded methodological proceedings. This extent of you watch is dueto two fundamental reasons: 1. Physiotherapy converges a crossroads of sciences: physical-natural, health, social, of education, behavior, etc., which makes it possible for the research methodologies characteristic of each of these disciplines to concur. 2. Physiotherapy is both a theoretical and applied knowledge, and each of these dimensions contributes to model a type of research and prioritize different methodologies
