Abstract

The analysis of environmental problems and sustainability development raises complex issues, specifically in developing countries. Since the „90, the discussion about the environmental policy was directed specifically to the analysis of the efficiency of different instruments previously used for those purposes. The aim of this study is to describe the main environmental policy‟s instruments, emphasizing economic instruments and particularly the fiscal ones. In this study successful experiences in the field which have been applied in some Latin American countries are analyzed in order to collaborate with the discussion in the Province of Córdoba (Argentine).
