Resum

The early detection of hearing loss is of great importance in order to establish an early hearing rehabilitation, and thus achieve normal language development. For this reason, hearing screening programs have been developed, which began in cases of risk factors for hearing loss. The objective of this work is to review the hearing screening programs, the techniques used, the results of the main programs and the reasons that justify a universal scree-ning.
