Abstract

Non-ST-segment-elevation acute coronary syndrome (NSTE ACS) is a condition that is included in the differential diagnosis of chest pain and given its potential risk to the patient's life, must be correctly diagnosed. Diagnosis is primarily based on the correct interpretation of the electrocardiogram and markers of myocardial injury (troponin) in blood tests. Treatment must be prompt, including anti-platelet and anticoagulation therapy, and according to risk stratification, coronary angiography.
