Abstract
2019 is the year in which the world celebrates the centenary of the foundation of the school of arts, design, en- gineering and architecture known as Bauhaus. This singular school had three different headquarters, firstly in the city of Weimar, then in Dessau and finally in Berlin, where the school was closed. Its three directors, all of them architects, were Walter Gropius, Hannes Meyer and Mies van der Rohe. By far less known, however not less important, were the hundreds of students of both sexes that formed the classrooms. This is a tribute to all of them.
