Resumen

This is a 48-year-old male, who is referred to the Family Therapy Unit for having dependence on ethanol and problems of lack of communication and respect in the couple. It became a therapeutic challenge whose importance would be found in the use of a reasoning that would achieve clinical, psychopathological, pharmacological, psychotherapeutic and relational unity; He had performed several treatments with few favorable results so far; so we decided to introduce a new element: the couple. We highlight the importance of biography, family myths and how the inequality of positions around power in dual relationships favors violence and / or psychopathology, as can be a problem of addiction
