Abstract

The blood postmortem and other forensic samples concentrations of moclebemide in 7 cases of drug intoxication with suicidal intentions are reported. The cause of the death is attributed to the possible poisoning with one or several drugs in depressive patients. The toxicological analysis was performed by gas chromatography and mass spectrometry. In all the cases the detected concentrations of moclobemide (30, 8, 30, 47, 28, 62 and 12 μg/ml) were higher than the therapeutic levels and they were combined with other drugs in therapeutic or toxic concentrations. Concentrations of the drugs in other biological specimens as gastric content, liver and kidney are also reported.
