Abstract
This work presents the findings of the ongoing doctoral thesis. Documentary research of the Technical Archive of the Minero-Siderúrgica de Ponferrada (MSP), preserved by Coto Minero Cantábrico (CMC), took place at the headquarters in Villablino and was authorized by the trustee. The origin, characteristics, status and situation of the documentary and historical heritage kept by a company into liquidation are exposed. Furthermore, this communication explores the importance of the heritage collection for the history and industrial architecture, both nationally and regionally or locally, as well as the close international relations of the historical society.
