Abstract

In this paper, a new species of Duvalius Delarouzée, 1859 is described (the fourth for Ibero-Balearic area and the most western of the genus). This species lives in the hypogean environment from the Sierra de Alcaraz. In spite of the robust shape, remarkable adaptations to the underground environment have developed (depigmentation, wing dystrophy and very important ocular regression). A key to Iberian-balearics species of this genus are given.
