Zusammenfassung

The third edition of the Chronostratigraphic Chart for the Quatemary of the Iberian Peninsula (v 3.0) substitutes the older 2007 and 2009 versions (Silva et al., 2009). The International Commission on Stratigraphy (ICS), and more specifically the Subcommission on Quatemary Stratigraphy (SQS), has been working since 2009 both in the formal definition of the Qua- temary status and its subdivisions, based on formally approved GSSPs (Global Stratotype Section and Points). This new Chart includes the recently approved GSSPs for the subdivisions of the Holocene epoch (Northgrippian, Greenlandian and Meghalayan; Walker et al., 2018) and the Chibanian, that replaces the former Middle Pleistocene (0,774-0,129 Ma) ratified by the IUGS this year (Head et al., 2020). This third edition also includes all the modifications and corrections that have arisen since then, and an updated reference list. The 3.0 chart also includes a digital version to be consulted from electronic devices (computers, tablets, mobile phones, etc.), The chart will be implemented in the Genially platform (https://www.genial. ly/es) for the generation of interactive files that allow access to all the information present in the table. The most important advantages will be the interactivity of the online chart as well as the links to complementary info (Quaternary websites and papers) to the data present in the table.
