Zusammenfassung

A 61 year-old woman was referred to Endocrinology department for the study of dizziness episodes without the sensation of spinning objets, as well as nervousness, palpitations and tremors. All of which improved after intake of carbohydrates. After a clinical suspicion of hypoglycemia and the complementary tests were performed, the patient was diagnosed with endogenous hyperinsulinism. The possibility of factitious hypoglycemias was dismissed. An endoscopic ultrasonography was performed, through which a pancreatic insulinoma was diagnosed that was non-visible on computed tomography. Finally, an enucleation of the lesion was performed, after which the clinical symptomatology was resolved. The patient remains asymptomatic at the present time.
