Abstract

Nowdays we live in an emotionalized world where ethical, political or cultural and aesthetic discussions are settled in a emotional way (and are legitimized as feelings or affections), therefore it is difficult to find a space for reasoned reflection. Hume's reflection on aesthetics I think can help us here because although he thinks there is nothing written about tastes, Hume allows us to build a space for discussion (although not entirely rational) about obviously sentimental matters
