Zusammenfassung
The analysis of the geohidrological system prevailing in a given territorial area provides a valuable information to interpret the landscape with a holistic approach, to facilitate the management of Natural Heritage –specially in the building of the Paneuropean Network for nature conservation (Natura 2000 Net)-, as well as to increase knowledge and enjoyment of the Cultural Archaeological Heritage located in the natural protected areas. A simple methodology, based on public geological and hydrological basic documentation is proposed to understand the geohydrological system of the Gritos river basin. This is a physiographic outstanding area due to its intrinsic archaeological value (Roman Ruins at Valeria) as well as its location in a karstic landscape known as “Páramo de las Valeras y Hoz del río Gritos” (LIC ES0000160).
