Zusammenfassung

María Jesús Salado, Director of Environmental Sustainability at the University of Alcalá, talks in this article about the importance of educating new generations for sustainable development. In this area, the university has a great responsibility as an agent of social transformation. The text makes us reflect on the competences that university students should acquire in relation to sustainability, putting forward some concrete proposals to promote the implementation of ESD in our universities.
