Résumé
Geographic Information Technologies (GITs) have consolidated, in recent years, as key tools in the development of digital competence of students and teachers. The recently approved LOMLOE makes explicit reference to the need to work with GITs, so it is necessary to reflect about when and how to promote and favour their use in the different formative stages. Field trips are an exceptionally suitable scenario for this, given the significant interest of these tools for interactive and experiential learning. This contribution intends to reflect on the possibilities of GITs in the framework of the didactic itineraries, both in its preparation, as well as in situ and with a view to its subsequent use in the classroom. In this regard, the potential of GITs as a didactic resource for future teachers of the Bachelors’ Degrees in Pre-school and Primary Education and the Master’s Degree in Secondary Education will be specifically explored, taking as a reference the experiences in teaching innovation developed by the Didactics of Social Sciences areas from the University of Alcalá.
