Zusammenfassung

An exhibition has been implemented that allows projection in a public access area, in a programmed way, of models for diverse molecular structures. Visitors of the exhibition may interact so that walking past the screen, moving hands, etc. trigger an immediate rotation of the model, providing interactivity and allowing, to some extent, manipulation and investigation of the structure. Each model is presented according to a script that combines brief texts explaining its relevance together with different views and rendering styles of the molecule. Design of the material intends to grab the attention of students, the university community and general public towards the structure of molecules and its relationship to topics both academic and of general interest (health, industry, materials, engi- neering...) On the other hand, it may be used as a tool that complements ongoing teaching and learning activities.
