Résumé

The great outbreak of Ebola virus (EVD) occured in the last years and boosted by the globalization, makes us conceive it as a traveller´s infection. The only way to reduce the incidence and the morality is to raise awareness about the different risk groups and their risk factors and also about the protection measures that can be taken. Likewise, EVD prevention presents many challenges because it is not known exactly how people are infected and also because there are few primary prevention measures established. After the outstanding cases of EVD in the USA and Spain, a deep research of the virus has been carried out in order to look for alternative treatments, drugs that are under research are also being used and mortality rates have decreased. For that, the development of many acting protocols, the training of medical staffs and the creation of new specialized units are the main measures carried out to prevent the emergence of new cases in our country.
