Abstract
This contribution explores the cultural challenges surrounding the dismantling process of industrial andmining facilities related to the electricity sector, affected by the process of energy transition anddecarbonisation promoted to reduce climate change. The testimonial value of these elements is discussed,as well as the possibilities offered by these facilities as a cultural and tourist resource for each community,and the legal and administrative constraints.
