Abstract
Microorganisms have several properties that allow them to be used as weapons, being smallpox the most used for this purpose throughout history. this bibliographical review aims to be an analysis about the use that has been given to smallpox in the past, the features that allow it to be used this way, and the possibility of it being reused with this purpose.
