Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the most frequent form of primary liver cancer and chronic infection with hepatitis C virus is once of the main risk factors for HCC. The aim of this review is to study the influence of epidemiology in this two pathologies. We selected ten different articles that focus on this relationship from different points of views. Once the main risk factors and means of transmission have been elucidated and analyzed, we consider that it would be crucial that the general population gets to know to prevent, as much as possible, the course of this pathology.
