Zusammenfassung

Arboviruses are a diverse group of viruses belonging to different families and genus, that have the common feature of being transmitted by arthropods (mosquitoes, sandflies and ticks). The emergence of a high number of cases of arboviruses in new areas that were not affected yet, can involving new public health problems. The coming up and spread of these diseases to other areas, like Spain, may be a consequence of its weather and being a place of obligatory crossing for migratory birds is related to several factors linked to climate change and globalization. Therefore, seeing the spread and possible emergence of new cases makes necessary introduce surveillance measures and checking ones based on the control of the life cycle virus elements: vector, middle and final hosts. The aim of this study is to determine the current status of the various arboviruses detected in Spain and to assess the possible settlement of any of them in our country.
